On the morning of September 4th, the Suizhou City Joint Symposium on Traditional Chinese Medicine Education and Industry Cooperation was held at Wansongtang Health Group.
Li Han, Secretary-General of the Hubei Pharmacists Association, along with heads of related enterprises, came to Suizhou for research and inspection. They held discussions with Liu Junwei, a member of the Party Leadership Group of Suizhou Municipal Government, and leaders from the Municipal Economic and Information Bureau, Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, Municipal Health Commission, Municipal Market Supervision Administration, Provincial Food and Drug Administration Suizhou Branch, Suizhou Vocational and Technical College, and other departments. The discussions focused on integrating the fourth-generation processing technology of traditional Chinese medicine, developing high value-added products with both medicinal and food uses, building the Shennong brand, and forming industrialization and brand effects in the traditional Chinese medicine health industry.
Participants expressed that, Suizhou possesses a profound cultural heritage of Emperor Yan and Shennong in the field of traditional Chinese medicine health, enjoys unique geographical and climatic conditions, has abundant authentic medicinal material germplasm resources, and has a solid foundation for industrial development. However, these cultural, natural, and industrial foundational advantages have not been fully transformed into industrial development advantages. It is necessary to further integrate the efforts of the government, enterprises, academic institutions, and all sectors of society to uphold the "Shennong Medicine Valley" brand, fully utilize the functions of the health industry demonstration base, increase investment attraction efforts for deep processing enterprises and talent education and training, integrate capital to cultivate and grow leading enterprises, and leverage the leading enterprises to drive the traditional Chinese medicine health industry in Suizhou.
At the symposium, Shen Xianli, Chairman of Wansongtang Health Group, shared the company's industrial layout, product portfolio, and foreign trade export developments over the past thirty years in the field of medicinal and food homology health. He also exchanged updates on recent cooperation progress in fermentation technology with the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and universities. Shen Xianli stated, Wansongtang has the capability and responsibility to shoulder the brand of "Shennong Medicine Valley" and the development burden of Suizhou's traditional Chinese medicine health industry, and to play the role of a leading enterprise in leveraging and guiding the future trillion-yuan traditional Chinese medicine health industry in Suizhou.
Liu Junwei, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Municipal Government, concluded by saying, The traditional Chinese medicine health industry is an industry highly valued by the municipal party committee and government leaders. The development of the industry must be enterprise-led, with the government providing good policy planning, factor guarantees, and service support. The Municipal Health Commission should formulate a joint development plan for the health industry, incorporating leading enterprises such as Wansongtang, ensuring industrial talent training support, and leveraging the collaborative advantages of all parties. Related enterprises should also develop industry co-construction promotion plans, and capital operations and industry pilot projects can be initiated first.
